Water Recreation

Proximity to the Pacific Ocean, Humboldt Bay, and the many rivers in the County lend to many types of water recreation. Deep sea fishing, pier fishing, freshwater fishing, clam digging, and crabbing are many ways obtain the best-tasting seafood you'll ever eat. Boating, river rafting and tubing, water skiing, jet skiing, surfing, diving, and swimming are all ways to enjoy the waters of Humboldt County.

Don't forget the gentle sport of beach combing. The beaches are clean and uncrowded. Shells, sand dollars, agates, and pebbles are treasures waiting to be found. Or, one can enjoy the sunset from the back of a horse. If you don't have your own, you can rent one!
