Many movie makers have come to Humboldt County to incorporate the spectacular scenery or rich architecture into their films. Some of the movies filmed on location in Humboldt County are Salem's Lot and Outbreak, filmed around Ferndale, and Jennifer 8, filmed in the Trinidad vicinity. Also Lost World, the sequel to Jurassic Park, and Edwards & Hunt was filmed in several areas throughout the County.
